• YOGA FOR TEENS

The teenage years are notoriously challenging and the rapid changes young people go through physically and mentally can feel like a never ending roller coaster. Enter yoga to the rescue!! Yoga is the perfect activity to take young people through these years of change with increased confidence, self-esteem and resilience because yoga is not a competitive practice. Yoga can gift teenagers with the ability to draw on their internal strength, intuition and strong sense of self to help manage the demands of school and everyday life.

Teenagers consistently report that yoga is a refreshing experience for them because of the different ways the body has to stretch, bend, twist, balance and turn upside down! They find it dynamic, fun and challenging in a lighthearted way. A big favourite is the opportunity to relax deeply at the end of the class, the perfect antidote for stressed, anxious and overstimulated minds. Many teenagers chose yoga as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Teen Comments

“Teen Yoga is a fun healthy activity I love to do with my friends. Because the class is designed for teens only I find it more fun”

Teen yoga is a great way to de-stress and unwind – especially during busy and stressful times at school. The Friday evening class is particularly great to help you relax after a full-on week, in time for the weekend. I would definitely recommend teen yoga to anyone who needs to relax and clear their mind weekly.

The teacher is really good! It’s a fun environment I feel relaxed and refreshed after class.
